Pouncer and your privacy

1. Introduction

Pouncer.com.au (hereinafter Pouncer) is an online auction site offering the opportunity to bid on highly sought after items at a fraction of the retail price. We are committed to protecting your personal privacy. Our privacy policy covers all aspects of data collection and storage on the site including all uses of personal information within the site.
Upon registering with Pouncer you expressly accept the privacy policy and terms of use of the site, this includes consent to allow us to collect and store personal information and use said information for the operation of the site. Any changes to the policy will be posted to the site and become binding at that time. If you wish to opt out of any changes you must cancel your registration with Pouncer.

2. Registration

In order to participate in Pouncer auctions you must register with us. At this time we will collect personal information such as your name, address, email address etc. You will then choose a username and password for the site. This information is solely for the maintenance of the site and will not be shared with any third party except where required by law.

3. Cancelling membership

You are free to cancel your registration at any time. Upon cancellation, Pouncer will no longer use your personal information for anything other than internal record keeping.

3. Data Usage and Newsletter

All personal information collected by Pouncer will be securely stored on our servers and will be used solely for the operation and maintenance of the site. If you have signed up for our newsletter we will send this out to the email address provided during registration. You are free to opt out this service at any time by going to the site and deselecting the receive newsletter button on your user panel.

4. Auction Winners

If you are the winner of an auction we will pass on your shipping information to our suppliers so they can ship the item directly to you which speeds up delivery times greatly. We also reserve the right to publish your username and first name and last initial on the site. We will at times offer promotions for users who allow us to post pictures or other information on the site, this will be completely voluntary and there is no requirement to participate in such promotions.

5. Personal Data

You are responsible for providing accurate information to Pouncer. If we become aware that fraudulent information is being provided we reserve the right to terminate your membership at our discretion.

6. Usage Statistics

Pouncer tracks usage information while you are on the site in order to maintain the highest level of performance of our servers possible. Any information collected is used solely by Pouncer and is not given to any third parties.

7. Security

Your username and password are unique to you and must be kept private. If you share your password with anyone else we cannot be responsible for loss of bids or personal information.
